Irish Flute Without Borders

We are kicking off our 2018workshop season  with this very exciting international collaboration of three amazing artists: Jean-Luc Thomas (Brittany), Michal Zak (Poland) and Harry Bradley (Ireland). All three musicians, while specialising in Irish flute, have taken this versatile instrument on a journey around the world. Between Thomas and Zak, they visited every continent touring, playing, looking for inspirations and getting influenced by local flute players. Bradley, being one of the most influential players in Ireland will provide original context and foundation for the whole lecture. We are going to tap into this unmeasured richness of different styles and techniques, merging tradition and jazz.
